It’s the start of a new week, a short week at that, as the Atlanta Falcons and Green Bay Packers prepare to face off in primetime on Thursday night. The Falcons are now 0-2 and dealing with some injuries, so we will take a look at the first injury report of the week. It’s worth noting, the injury report for today, Sept. 21st, is an estimation as the teams both held walkthroughs.
Let’s take a look!

Last week is was a shoulder injury for corner A.J. Terrell, which kept him out of practice even though he was eventually able to play on Sunday. This week, Terrell is now dealing with a groin injury which caused him to leave the Falcons’ Week 2 game agains the Carolina Panthers. We will be monitoring this closely as groin issues are known to linger, and with the team having a short week, I wouldn’t be too optimistic with Terrell playing on Thursday. We will see though.
Some positive news, Michael Penix Jr. has officially been announced as the starting quarterback for the Falcons. He has been able to practice fully in practice and was cleared to play a few weeks ago.
The Packers also held no practice on Monday, so their injury report is a team estimation. The most notable injury of theirs is receiver Jayden Reed who is a longshot to play this week. Although the report says he has an injured neck, ESPN’s Adam Schefter is reporting that it’s actually a back injury for Reed. Regardless, the way they are talking about the injury, I would expect him to miss the game on a short week.
