During WrestleMania 42’s WWE Women’s World title feud, then-champ Stephanie Vaquer jumped Royal Rumble winner Liv Morgan from behind during a backstage scene on Raw. Morgan was having a conversation with her Judgment Day teammate Roxanne Perez at the time, and Vaquer’s initial attack sent Liv’s head crashing into Perez’s.
It left Morgan with a raquetball-sized lump on her forehead. In a recent interview with Undertaker that was released on his Six Feet Under podcast (Oct. 7), she revealed she’s still
being treated for the injury six months later. That’s partially because what was finally used to get rid of the hematoma caused a new problem Liv, and that led a new issue:
“We were like, ‘It’s going to settle and go away.’ Six or seven months passed. I still had this hematoma. ‘Let’s inject it with steroids and see if it goes away.’ So then I got two rounds of steroid injections in it, and they finally made it go away, but it ate away at the fat. So I had this divot in my head. So I just got a fat graft. It’s not lypo, but in my mind, I had lypo and they put it in my head.
“So they put me under, and they went in through my belly button and took fat out of my abdomen and injected it through my hairline into my head.
“And so it’s gonna take like a couple weeks for it to smooth out, and then I won’t know for like three months if I need another one because your body only retains like a certain percentage of the fat. It’s this long process that no one has none about that I’ve been internally struggling with. It looks better. We’re on the mend”
Here’s hoping Morgan is fully mended soon. She challenges Vaquer and Becky Lynch for the Women’s World title this Saturday at Money in the Bank.
