Where will Josh Irving be going?
That’s the question this morning, as the 4-star big man from Pasadena, California, is set to announce his commitment at noon today.
Irving, who is ranked as the 63rd overall
prospect in the class, is down to Kentucky, Louisville, and Texas A&M.
Irving visited Louisville and Texas A&M last month and visited Kentucky for Big Blue Madness.
The 6’10 big man has been one of the top risers in the 2026 recruiting class, jumping 37 spots in 247 Sports’ most recent rankings update last month.
Here is what 247’s Adam Finkelstein had to say about Irving this summer.
Irving is most effective right now as a rim-runner, shot-blocker, screener, and lob threat. He’s still working on being more forceful through contact, finishing plays around the rim when he can’t dunk (50% on lay-ups), and getting to the free-throw line more, but he can use both hands, is quick off his feet for his size, has multiple jumps, and a huge catch radius. Long-term, there are signs of budding two-way versatility with growing floor-spacing potential (76% FT & 5-13 from 3pt on the season) and some lateral mobility to match, but is working on his decision-making on the perimeter (1.1 assists vs. 1.9 turnovers).
The momentum seems to be with Texas A&M in this recruitment, but we’ll find out for sure in a few hours.
If you’re so inclined, below is where the announcement will happen via online stream through CBS Sports.
