Maryland football’s top tight end will be in College Park for another year.
Redshirt sophomore Dorian Fleming, who transferred to the program this past offseason from Georgia State, will remain with the Terps
in 2026, the team announced Wednesday.
Statistically, Fleming was a bit underwhelming in his first season with Maryland — but that’s partly due to the quick-hitting style of passing offense offensive coordinator Pep Hamilton ran in 2025. He finished with 40 catches for 351 yards and three touchdowns.
While he didn’t stand out as a blocker, Fleming’s got the frame for the Big Ten. With Malik Washington entering his sophomore year without Octavian Smith Jr. and Shaleak Knotts, there will be plenty of room for targets if he improves.
