UFC Houston went down last night (Sat., Feb. 21, 2026) from inside Toyota, Center in Houston, Texas, which saw Sean Strickland defeat Anthony Hernandez in the headlining bout via technical knockout (TKO) in the third round (recap here). In the co-main event, Uros Medic secured yet another stoppage win after ending Geoff Neal in the very first round (highlights).
Biggest Winner: Sean Strickland
Strickland put on one of the better performances of his career against Hernandez, showing off his striking
attack throughout the three rounds of action before delivering a brutal knee to the body the spelled the beginning of the end for “Fluffy.” Once Strickland saw Hernandez was hurt, he put his foot on the gas pedal and unleashed a barrage of strikes once he had Hernandez up against the cage that ultimately secured him the huge win. Just like that ‘Tarzan” is right back in the championship mix, though he will likely need at least one more huge win to seriously put him in contention. Strickland ends Hernandez’s eight-fight win streak, in the process, which is a great confidence booster for the outspoken Middleweight.
Runner Up: Uros Medic
It’s time to put some respect on Uros Medic’s name. “The Doctor” secured a a highly-impress knockout win over Geoff Neal in the very first round after clipping “Handz of Stone” with a sneaky left hand in the opening frame — which he dominated thoroughly with his precise striking — that put him out cold. That is now three straight first-round knockout wins for Medic, who has secured stoppages — 11 via knockout — in all 13 of his victories. In fact, Medic has never gone the distance in his entire combat career, even in defeat. Medic will definitely get into the Top 15 with this huge win, and a bump up in competition following his latest highlight-reel victory.
Biggest Loser (s): Geoff Neal and Dan Ige
It wasn’t a good night for both Neal and Ige thanks to crucial knockout losses. Ige was stopped by Melquizael Costa in the very first round due to a precise spinning back kick, while Neal fell victim to Uros Medic’s dangerous left hand that put him out cold. Both men have now lost two straight and have each lost four of their last five outings inside the Octagon. That type of run puts them on edge knowing they could receive their walking papers.
