One of the great individual battles in the NFL this decade and one of the great player rivalries in the storied history of the Las Vegas Raiders and Kansas City Chiefs is the battle between defensive end
Maxx Crosby and Patrick Mahomes.
Sunday, we will see the 13th installment of the Crosby-Mahomes battle as the Raiders visit Arrowhead Stadium.
They’ve had some epic battles and it is clear both superstars elevate their games against each other. This week, Crosby discussed playing against Mahomes on his Sirius XM radio spot and he used words such as “ultimate respect” and “greatness” when talking about Mahomes.
Mahomes has also been complimentry of Crosby’s game, calling him the best pass-rusher he’s ever faced.
They’ve had some unforgettable battles.
The beautiful thing about this rivalry is that it is nowhere near being over. Crosby, who has six career sacks of Mahomes, is 28 and Mahomes just turned 30. They will be both around the for long haul.
And they both enter this game on a hot streak.
Crosby, who had two sacks in Week 6, has four sacks and already has 10 tackles for loss this season. Mahomes has thrown eight touchdown passes and one interception in the past three games.
Both players are rolling into this game and be sure, that they both will be ready to put on a show against their biggest personal rival.
