Maven Huffman interviewed Enzo Amore more than a year ago for his podcast, but he only just released the footage on Sunday (October 4).
In a social media message posted after the interview, Amore questioned the timing of Maven sharing the interview so soon after PAC’s death, insinuating he was being exploitative since Enzo criticized AEW during the chat.
Enzo, who currently wrestles under the name Real1 on the independent circuit, is no stranger to controversy and was quite well-known for outlandish
behavior during his run in WWE. Meanwhile, Maven is also best-known for his time in WWE, though in recent years he’s earned a reputation on his YouTube channel for his takes on the current state of wrestling.
Amore spoke about what he characterized as locker room issues in AEW in the March 2025 interview with Maven, saying: “F**k AEW for all the p***y ass fighting that they do over there and letting it leak and s**t.”
On Monday, Enzo called out Huffman for posting the old interview so soon after PAC’s passing and AEW’s tribute to the late star.
“I talked to Maven in March of 2025,” the New Jersey native wrote on X (Twitter) on Monday (October 5). “He waited to come off the heels of a beautiful tribute show for PAC to post the interview. I thought the tribute show was absolute class. Everyone who paid tribute, thank you for honoring Ben.”
He added: “I’m still grieving, Maven is clearly not.”
Enzo became close friends with PAC, real name Benjamin Satterley, when the two came up through WWE’s NXT. One of the in-ring highlights of Amore’s time in WWE came when he won the company’s cruiserweight championship from PAC (then known as Neville) at No Mercy in 2017.
Maven has not responded to Amore’s post as of press time, but he included a note on the YouTube video that it had been recorded a while ago.
“Hey guys. We filmed this video with Enzo back in May 2025. Originally, we had him react to the infamous Simon Gotch interview in which Simon buried Enzo. However, after we finished filming, Enzo texted me and asked us to cut that part,” Maven wrote. “Without that reaction, we decided not to release it. However, after I shared the story in another video, many of you asked us to release whatever we could. Since last Friday’s video was shorter, we figured, why not? Hope you guys enjoy.”
