Week 9 was not nearly as wild as previous Saturdays this season. The top ten remains the same, just in a slightly different order. Alabama, Ole Miss, Vanderbilt, and Virginia all pulled out close wins
on the road. Miami fell one spot after its blowout of Stanford. One of the Canes’ best wins, USF, blew a 14-point fourth quarter lead at Memphis that severely hurts the Bulls’ CFP hopes.

The biggest risers in the poll were Michigan and Cincinnati, each climbing four spots. The Miami Hurricanes fell one spot as a result of being jumped by Vanderbilt after the Commodores’ win at Missouri. USF fell from #18 to unranked. Week 10 has three top 25 matchups: #9 Vanderbilt at #20 Texas, #18 Oklahoma at #14 Tennessee, and #17 Cincinnati at #24 Utah.
