What is the story about?
Good morning, Fear the Wall.
Dortmund made it hard on themselves yesterday with their 3-2 win over Heidenheim. An injury to Filippo Mane got the ball rolling on what was a genuine fight from Heidenheim, and if you ask me, Heidenheim probably deserved more from that game. Better finishing would see them win handily at the Westfalenstadion. That said, they didn’t finish their chances and Dortmund’s comeback brought them within six points of Bayern Munich.
Another comeback that you probably missed concerned
Almugera Kabar. More on that below.
BVB News
- Academy product Almugera Kabar looked all set for a loan move to Hamburg, but it fell through last minute due to fitness concerns. Kabar, who has received no minutes under Niko Kovac this season, will return to Dortmund.
- Nico Schlotterbeck announced that Dortmund are now hunting for the title following the Heidenheim match. Did he clear that comment with the boardroom?
- Borussia Dortmund will face off against Atalanta in the Champions League playoff round.
League News
- Bayern are growing increasingly frustrated with Dayot Upamecano’s representation as they attempt to retain his services.
- Werder Bremen have sacked head coach Horst Steffen.
- Former BVB player Felix Passlack is heading abroad, joining Hibernian from VFL Bochum. Good luck Felix!
Well that’s the news! Sorry, no updates on Mane’s injury. Hopefully we will learn more soon.
