Welcome to SB Nation Reacts, a survey of fans across the NBA. Throughout the year we ask questions of the most plugged-in Bucks fans and fans across the country. Sign up here to participate in the weekly emailed surveys.
When a team falls this short of expectations, there’s bound to be significant offseason changes up and down the organization. While a decision about the tippy-top of the roster rests with Giannis, pretty much everything else may be on the table. Doc Rivers is entering the final season of his contract,
as are the following players (asterisks indicate player options for 2026–27):
- Kyle Kuzma
- Gary Trent Jr.*
- Gary Harris*
- Taurean Prince*
- Jericho Sims*
Bobby Portis and Ryan Rollins also have player options for 2027–28, and since the latter is a stone-cold lock to decline, you can treat Rollins as a quasi-expiring deal. Portis may also be, and it’s worth noting that Giannis has a player option for that year, which will likely never be exercised or declined, since his contract is bound to be extended wherever, nullifying it. As for Trent, Harris, and Prince, with the NBA’s salary cap projection lowering last week, Trent’s player option is worth more than a new minimum deal on the open market. Harris and Prince would get raises of about $60k on new vet minimums, so one or two could opt for free agency.
In this week’s Tuesday Tracker and Reacts survey, we’d like some of your opinions on offseason trade value. Who should and shouldn’t be available? We also want another Giannis prediction with now eight games left.
As always, this poll will be open until midnight Central on Friday, and we’ll post the results later that day. Thanks for voting!
