After starting the season 1-1 on the road, the Cleveland Browns return home to take on the Carolina Panthers in Week 3. The Panthers are also 1-1 coming into this game, and both teams will be looking to leave this week with a winning record. Several key matchups will likely determine which team leaves with the win.
Bryce Young has gotten off to a productive start this season, making it crucial for the Browns’ secondary to limit his effectiveness in the passing game. Additionally, the defensive line
will need to have success in getting pressure on Young to help limit the Panthers offense from getting explosive plays.
Quinshon Judkins’ production has been limited in the first two weeks of the season. With 33 rushing yards in Week 1 and just 21 in Week 2, the Cleveland offense will be hoping for more production from him this week. Carolina has allowed the most rushing yards per game so far this season, so this will be a big opportunity to capitalize on that weakness.
Harold Fannin Jr. may be another key to the Browns offense in this matchup. He is coming off of a solid 5-reception, 54-yard performance against the Buccaneers and has started to establish himself as a reliable target for Deshaun Watson. With the Panthers’ struggles on defense, Fannin Jr. could be very active in this game.
