No one playing on Tuesday (other than the highlight game of Duke-Louisville) has less than five losses, but both games have compelling storylines.
In the 7:00 game between Syracuse and Georgia Tech, Naithan
George returns to Atlanta, which should be interesting. Syracuse hasn’t played a true road game yet, believe it or not and Georgia Tech is undefeated at home.
Syracuse’s defense has been pretty good and Donnie Freeman is back, which will help. It should be a fun game. The Yellow Jackets however will probably not have freshman Mouhamed Sylla, who has an ankle injury.
As for the nightcap, NC State should certainly beat Boston College, even on the road, but the Pack has hit some turbulence lately. Coach Will Wade, who guaranteed an NCAA bid when he took the job has his team at 10-5 including Saturday’s blowout loss to Virginia.
It’s not the end of the world type stuff. It’s his first season and he won’t get fired or anything. Still, the season as of now is a bit disappointing for State fans, who were unbelievably pumped to see Wade get started.
Would it shock us if there was an upset here? Somewhat, but not totally. State is the more talented team but something seems a bit off. A loss here would spice things up considerably in Raleigh.
If we were the betting type though (to be clear, we’re not), we wouldn’t bet on the Eagles here.
