Bayern Munich board member for sport Max Eberl was impressed by what he saw during his team’s 5-0 victory over Red Bull Salzburg, but might be even more enthralled by the thought of the potential of what this team could do in the second half of the season.
“We’ve established an excellent position in all three competitions. If we keep wanting to actively score goals and actively defend as a team in the coming months – like we did in the first half of the season – then a lot is possible this season.
We want to gradually work our way up to that level. Our aim is to keep hitting form and being there at the crucial moment. Our team have good quality, they’re hungry and fit,” Eberl said (as captured by FCBayern.com).
It is not easy to see what Eberl can envision — this Bayern Munich squad is stacked and playing well. If it can continue to play at this level, there could be some trophies in the squad’s future.
