The Atlanta Braves gave an unfortunate update on Austin Riley on Thursday, announcing that the third baseman underwent core injury surgery and will miss the remainder of the 2025 season. The procedure was performed by Dr. William Meyers in Philadelphia.
Riley once again hit the injured
list on August 4th, shortly after he returned from the original abdominal injury that sidelined him in July.
The news is on par for the 2025 Braves, but hopefully 2026 will bring better luck and a full season for Austin Riley.
