A lot of times, when the Phillies are on a national broadcast, it’s kind of annoying how unprepared they seem about the Phillies. It’s near impossible to be completely up to date on everything the team is doing, but it’s always somewhat rough to watch. Last night, maybe it’s because the announcers were simply better all the way around, but it did not feel the same. It felt like an actually good broadcast.
What did you think of the announcers last night?
Specifically, I like what Joey Votto brought
to the game, where he could talk about the minutiae of the game for hours on end, but it didn’t feel boring. It felt like he added something. Joe Girardi really likes hearing himself talk, but Jason Bennetti did a great job (as usual) keeping the game moving along.
