No single factor in the first-round 2026 NBA Playoffs series between the San Antonio Spurs and Portland Trail Blazers has as much potential impact as the health of Spurs center Victor Wembanyama. The Defensive Player of the Year left Game 2 between the teams after a nasty fall with a concussion. He entered the league’s concussion protocol. His official return has not been announced.
Shams Charania of ESPN is reporting that Wembanyama will travel with the Spurs to Portland for Games 3 and 4 this weekend.
Game 3 is scheduled for Friday evening, Game 4 for Sunday afternoon. ESPN is also reporting that Wembanyama is doing cardio work, part of the concussion protocol procedures. He has not been ruled out for Game 3.
We will update this story as news becomes available.
