We’re about ninety minutes away from kickoff in Los Angeles, and both the Minnesota Vikings and Los Angeles Chargers have released their inactive lists for tonight’s game. Let’s take a look at who will be sitting this one out for both sides.
Minnesota Vikings
- LB Chaz Chambliss
- FB C.J. Ham
- QB J.J. McCarthy (emergency QB)
- OT Brian O’Neill
- OLB Andrew Van Ginkel
- DL Elijah Williams
A few things to update you on with the Vikings’ roster ahead of this one. The team has officially activated RB Aaron Jones for tonight’s game and waived LB Kobe King to make room for him on the 53-man roster. They have also elevated OL Henry Byrd for tonight’s contest.
Christian Darrisaw, who was added to the injury report on Wednesday, is active and will start at left tackle.
Brian O’Neill, on the other hand, is out for this evening. He played all the team’s snaps last week after returning from his sprained MCL and it’s apparently too short a turnaround for him for this week. I’d expect him to be out there against Detroit in Week 9.
Los Angeles Chargers
- Ot Austin Deculus
- TE Will Dissly
- RB Hassan Haskins
- OLB Kyle Kennard
- WR KeAndre Lambert-Smith
- CB Nikko Reed
- OL Jamaree Sayler
Haskins was declared out by the Chargers on their final injury report. Offensive tackle Joe Alt, who had missed the last three games with a high ankle sprain, is active for the Chargers, as is offensive lineman Trey Pipkins.
Those are your final injury reports for this one, ladies and gentlemen. We’ll have our first Open Thread of the night dropping at around 6:45 PM Central, and we hope that you’ll join us for tonight’s contest!
