Conferences returned to weekly injury reports for conference games for the 2025 season. There haven’t been many to report recently, but there’s an update to share for tomorrow.
Miami Head Coach Mario Cristobal
gave injury updates at his Monday presser, and they weren’t good. Starting RB Mark Fletcher Jr. is out this week, Starting WR C.J. Daniels and CB O.J. Frederique are out for “multiple weeks”, and starting DT Ahmad Moten Sr. is more “50/50” in terms of his availability.
While those injuries are notable, they’re not the only ones. The initial report came out Thursday night at 8pm. Here’s the screenshot of the initial report:
As stated, Fletcher and Frederique are out this week. But joining them suddenly is WR Tony Johnson, a player who had started to work his way into a bigger role in recent weeks. That’s a sneaky big loss, especially when they were already playing without C.J. Daniels.
Another surprise was Daniels being listed as questionable after Cristobal said he would be out “for multiple weeks”. And yet ANOTHER surprise was the listing of LB Wesley Bissainthe as questionable. He also suffered an injury against SMU, and that seems to be lingering into this week as well.
On Friday night, the updated injury report had one change from Thursday: WR C.J. Daniels was downgraded from Questionable to OUT. Bissainthe and Moten still questionable. They’ll move to game-time decision or out tomorrow sometime. Here’s the updated Friday report:
As we head into Saturday, things are as Cristobal said they were on Monday: Daniels, Frederique, and Fletcher are out. The surprise addition is Tony Johnson. And Bissainthe and Moten are questionable at best.
The Miami Hurricanes face the Syracuse Orange for homecoming at Hard Rock Stadium at 3:30pm this Saturday. The game will be televised on ESPN.
