The Tennessee Titans improved to 1-5 with their 26-20 win over the Indianapolis Colts. They were down 13-0 at the half, but scored 20 unanswered points to start the second half. Special teams played a huge role in the win. They returned a blocked punt for a touchdown and Chimere Dike had a huge 58-yard punt return that set up Carnell Tate’s first career touchdown catch.
Cam Ward struggled in the win with just 102 yards passing. He threw one touchdown and one interception. The Titans are going to need
more from him going forward, but this week should go a little easier for him with the Titans getting the win.
This was Robert Saleh’s first win as the coach of the Titans. His defense had an outstanding day. They forced 3 turnovers. Daniel Jones was picked off twice, and Jeffery Simmons forced and recovered a Jonathan Taylor fumble on the Colts’ first possession of the second half. That was the play that really changed the momentum in the game.
This team still feels like it has more questions than answers, but it will be a good week inside that building. Hopefully, they can build off of this one.
