The Südkurve at Bayern Munich’s Allianz Arena is staging a protest during today’s match against SC Freiburg/ The act will be against the Conference of Interior Ministers’ ticketing and security proposals
per Abendzeitung journalist Kilian Kreitmair (as captured by @iMiaSanMia):
The Südkurve announce that they will be silent during the first 12 minutes of today’s game in protest against proposals from the Conference of Interior Ministers, which includes the introduction of personalized tickets, the use of facial recognition, and the creation of a nationwide stadium ban commission to combat offenders
Fabian Stammberger (Südkurve) “We will show in the first twelve minutes what it means when fan culture is destroyed. The first twelve minutes will be silent.”
As countries globally seek to find ways to enhance security for public gatherings, measures are getting more stringent. The Südkurve wants to let it be known that it does not agree with going anywhere near as far as the Conference of Interior Ministers want to take things.
