The Seattle Seahawks won’t need their passports to play a football game this season.
As largely expected, the Seahawks will once again sit out the NFL’s International Series, which expands to a record nine games in 2026 and includes first ever trips to Australia and France. Their only possible destinations were London, England, to play the Washington Commanders, or Mexico City, Mexico, for a divisional game against the San Francisco 49ers. Seattle would’ve been a designated road team in both instances.
If you’re curious as to which games are headed to which countries, here’s the full list!

The Seahawks’ last international game was a 21-16 loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in the NFL’s maiden regular season jaunt to Germany back in 2022. They previously went to London for a 27-3 blowout win over the Raiders in 2018. Seattle has yet to relinquish a home date to play an international game, but at this rate it’s inevitable we will see this happen in the near future… just not this year.
We’ll know Seattle’s regular season schedule come Thursday, May 14.
