Barcelona have had to wait until the final match before the first international break of the season but La Liga has finally allowed the Catalans to debut their new home kit for the 2025-26 season on Sunday’s match away to Rayo Vallecano.
According to Mundo Deportivo, the league’s kit selector, which automatically decides the uniforms and color schemes for every game of each weekend, has finally approved one of Barça’s new kits to be used against Rayo’s predominantly white uniform, apart from the iconic
red sash on their shirts.
The Blaugrana were not allowed to wear any of their three new kits against Mallorca and Levante and were forced to resort to last season’s bright green third kit due to “color clashes” with the home schemes of those teams, which wasn’t the worst thing in the world given those bright greens were awesome, but they were still last season’s uniforms.
Barça still have to wait for after the international break to debut their Kobe Bryant themed away uniforms and the throwback Total 90 orange third kits, but they can finally move on to a new era and officially debut their bold and beautiful new home shirts.
