The New Orleans Saints hit the road to face the New York Giants this week. The Saints are coming off their third-consecutive loss, all at home, no less. Each loss has introduced new levels of shame, sadness, and despair, within the team, the fanbase, and the city. The Saints mean everything to New Orleans, so when they let New Orleans down, it is felt everywhere. A change of scenery for the next few weeks may be what the team and the city needs, as a long road trip east awaits.
To say these Saints
and the start to their 2026 season has been a giant disappointment would be a giant understatement. Even team owner Gayle Benson is making statements publicly about the state of the franchise, from the front office, to the coaches, to the players on the field. No one is safe at this point, and no one should be. The Saints will need a giant effort this week to pull off a giant upset on the road. Let’s hope we finally see the spark that lights a fire under this team.
Now let’s take a look at this and all of the matchups in Week 6.
Last week I went 4-11 (YIKES!)
I told you so: 49ers over Seahawks!
What do I know: Titans over Texans?

WEEK 6
Thursday, October 15th – Thursday Night Football
Seahawks(3-2) at Broncos(3-2) – Game of the Week
This easily could have been this past February’s Super Bowl matchup, if not for a few bad breaks for Sean Payton’s team, and this game will certainly be better than the Super Bowl we got instead. Expect a defensive slugfest in the Mile High City that ends with a game-winning field goal by Wil Lutz. Denver wins 20-17.
Pick: Broncos

Sunday, October 18th – Very Early Game
Texans(1-4) at* Jaguars(4-1) – London, England
Just like last week in London, the Jags win the game late with a field goal that will have the Brits feeling deja-vu. Jacksonville wins 24-23.
Pick: Jaguars

Sunday, October 18th – Early Games
Bears(3-2) at Falcons(2-3)
With quarterback injury concerns for both teams, this one will come down to coaching, where Chicago has the distinct advantage. We’ll see if Chicago’s defensive coordinator apologizes to the Falcons for the win, once the game is over. Chicago wins 30-21.
Pick: Bears
***
Ravens(4-1) at Browns(3-2)
Whether Lamar Jackson returns for this AFC North showdown or not, Baltimore will still win a surprisingly one-sided affair on the road, thanks to a monster game from Derrick Henry. Baltimore wins 32-17.
Pick: Ravens
***
Titans(0-5) at Colts(2-3)
Tennessee hit a new low last week, and the lows will continue this week in Indy. Indianapolis wins 39-17.
Pick: Colts
***
Jets(2-3) at Patriots(3-2)
New England will continue to keep pace with Buffalo atop the AFC East while separating from the likes of the Jets. New England wins 35-12.
Pick: Patriots
***
Panthers(2-2) at Eagles(2-3)
Another tough loss for Philly here will definitely have Nick Sirianni on Kellen Moore watch, if he can keep his own head this season. Carolina wins 23-17.
Pick: Panthers
***
Steelers(3-2) at Buccaneers(1-4)
With their eyes towards Paris, the Steelers will be caught flat-footed against the Bucs this week. Tampa Bay wins 24-23.
Pick: Buccaneers
***
Saints(1-4) at Giants(3-1-1)
The way the Saints have played over the past few weeks, this game shouldn’t be close, but the amount of smoke rising from all the hot seats in New Orleans will see the Saints capitalize off turnovers that keep them within striking distance throughout, just not enough to win the game in the end. New York wins 26-23.
Pick: Giants

Sunday, October 18th – Late Games
Cardinals(1-4) at Rams(2-3)
Going 2-3 in a brutal five game stretch to start the season has been a disappointment for the Rams, especially losing Monday Night’s heartbreaker, but now they go on a five-game stroll against much easier opponents, bookended by Arizona. The Rams begin their win streak here. Los Angeles wins 42-20.
Pick: Rams
***
Chargers(0-5) at Chiefs(4-0)
If you thought things were brutal in New Orleans, just take a look at Jim Harbaugh’s Chargers, who not only had actual expectations this season, but are failing at those expectations to a spectacular degree. Now they face arguably the best team in the NFL in the most hostile environment in the NFL. We know how this goes. Kansas City wins 35-12.
Pick: Chiefs
***
Bills(4-1) at Raiders(3-2)
After feasting on three of the worst teams in the NFL to start the season, Vegas is now in the middle of a four-game stretch against Super Bowl favorites, and this game won’t go any better for the Raiders than the last two, as the Bills will continue to ride high from their huge win over the Rams last week. Buffalo wins 35-17.
Pick: Bills
***
Sunday Night Football
Cowboys(2-3) at Packers(3-2)
Dallas makes no sense this season. Green Bay makes no sense this season. This game will make no sense either. It will be an offensive explosion at Lambeau, but the Pack will have more offense in this one. Green Bay wins 45-35.
Pick: Packers
***
Monday, October 19th – Monday Night Football
Commanders(1-3-1) at 49ers(5-0)
Washington showed some world-class questionable coaching late in last week’s tie, and that simply won’t cut it against arguably the best-coached franchise in the NFL. This one will be pretty easy for the home team. San Francisco wins 42-14.

Pick: 49ers
