Ismael Bonfim may have badly missed weight for his lightweight clash with Francisco Prado later tonight (Sat., Oct. 10, 2026) at UFC Vegas 122 LIVE on Paramount+ from inside Meta Apex in Las Vegas, Nevada, but it now appears Prado will be the heavier fighter when the cage door shuts.
Friday’s early weigh ins were a disaster for Bonfim. The Brazilian veteran stepped on the scale at 163.5 pounds for his lightweight matchup with Prado, which is 7.5 pounds over the 156-pound limit. Despite the egregious
miss, Prado still agreed to fight Bonfim and collected 25% of his purse in the process. Fight fans were having trouble figuring out which fighter would have the advantage on Saturday night, but now they have some clarity.
On Saturday, Prado took to social media to show fight fans how much weight he has gained in just 24 hours. While some MMA fighters are known to pack on some serious pounds between weigh ins and fight time it appears Prado has hit another level. According to his shared photo, the Argentinian fighter gained a whopping 35 pounds to currently tip the scale at 190 pounds. That’s pretty massive for a lightweight and something that could spell disaster for Bonfim, especially if he’s still feeling the effects of a missed weight cut.
