Welcome back to the 2026 installment of our annual 90-in-90 Miami Dolphins roster breakdown. We have taken a closer look at a couple of defensive players already this year, as well as one offensive player. We even the count today with our second player on the offensive side of the line of scrimmage.
The Dolphins’ offensive line has been a question mark for years. Every time they seem to have it fixed, something happens and they have to start building again. This year, it actually seems like it might
all come together, with most of the starting positions already decided. Included in those starting positions is 2025 Second-Team All-Pro center Aaron Brewer, who will be looking to continue his dominance in the middle of the line. Behind him, undrafted free agent Jim Bonifas will be looking to claim a role as a depth option for the position.

2025 review (at Iowa State)
Games played: 12 (12 starts)
Bonifas started all 12 games at center for Iowa State as a Redshirt Senior, earning All-Big 12 honorable mention honors at the end of the year. He had worked primarily as a reserve lineman in 2024 after starting all 13 games in 2023.
In December 2025, Iowa State on SI.com’s Kenneth Teape broke down the 2025 season from Bonifas, writing:
Where Bonifas excelled was as a pass blocker. His 78.5 pass blocking grade was the best amongst the offensive linemen on the team who were on the field for at least 50 snaps.
He was no slouch as a run blocker either, earning a grade of 69.6. Again, that was the best mark amongst offensive linemen on the team who played at least 50 snaps.
Bonifas was on the field for 845 snaps in 2025, 419 of which were as a pass blocker. He didn’t allow a single sack on the year, while surrendering only eight pressures and one quarterback hit.
A clean brand of football was played, being flagged only twice the entire year, and only one of which was accepted. His future looks incredibly bright given the improvements that he has made on the field this year.

2026 expectations
Bonifas has the potential to be a solid depth option at center. He is someone who continues to work on his game and he has shown the drive to take a setback, only to come back better when he earns another chance. He should see plenty of playing time in the preseason and could be an option for a developmental spot on the practice squad when the season begins.
