The Portland Fire have made fairly major roster changes after a 2-3 start to their 2026 NBA season. As reported by OregonLive, the Fire have released guards Sug Sutton and Kamiah Smalls, plus forward Haley Jones. Per the same report, the team has filled those spaces with up-and-coming players:
With the new spaces on the roster open, the Fire have converted developmental players Holly Winterburn and Frieda Bühner to the active roster, and have activated Teja Oblak’s contract.
Sutton averaged 11.3 points
and 5.7 assists per game this season, Smalls 7.5 points and 3.0 assists. Jones has averaged 5.2 points and 2.2 rebounds.
