The Detroit Pistons are looking for their seventh consecutive win, while the Washington Wizards are looking to avoid their ninth consecutive loss. One of the league’s best against one of the league’s worst
might be a lot closer than you’d imagine because the injury for the Pistons is absolutely brutal.
There are the typical absences — Jaden Ivey and Marcus Sasser are still out with longer injuries and it could be weeks until they return. Then there are the recent issues — Tobias Harris and Isaiah Stewart are out with a pair of ankle sprains. Then there are the surprises — Ausar Thompson and Caris LeVert are both listed as questionable tonight. LeVert might miss with left knee injury management as a precaution, and it appears Thompson is dealing with a sprain in his right ankle as well.
That would represent, conservatively, five players in Detroit’s primary rotation, including three starters. Meanwhile, the only player expected to miss for the Wizards is Bilal Coulibaly, who remains out with a left calf contusion.
