Bayern Munich’s trophy celebrations took an unexpected turn after the final whistle, with assistant coach Rodyse Munienge stepping in to stop a pitch invader who made his way onto the field.
As Bayern Munich players and staff celebrated their 2-1 victory over Borussia Dortmund in the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup, the individual attempted to get closer to the celebrations. Munienge reacted quickly, intervening, and preventing the situation from escalating.
It was an unusual moment during what was otherwise
a memorable night for Bayern Munich. Vincent Kompany’s side had just secured the first piece of silverware of the 2026/27 season, with Nathaniel Brown and Michael Olise providing the goals before Dortmund pulled one back through Fabio Silva.
Munienge’s quick response helped keep the focus on the players and the trophy celebration, allowing Bayern Munich to enjoy the moment after lifting the Franz Beckenbauer Supercup at Signal Iduna Park. Not a bad day, eh?
