With both of Kentucky basketball’s annual Big Blue Madness and Blue-White game concluded, we’re now headed into the exhibition part of their 2025-2026 schedule.
The Wildcats will play two exhibition games
this preseason, first hosting the preseason No. 1 Purdue Boilermakers at Rupp Arena on Friday before hosting the Georgetown Hoyas next Thursday.
Head coach Mark Pope and his team were ranked No. 11 in last week’s preseason AP poll.
This year’s team will have some familiar faces of returning players but also several new names playing key positions.
One of the newly added players — point guard Jaland Lowe — dislocated his shoulder on Friday during the Blue-White game and will likely miss the preseason action against Purdue on Friday.
Kentucky went through similar point guard trouble last season with Lamont Butler missing time due to injury and their offense completely changed so it will be interesting to see who takes on the ball handling duties this year while Lowe is misses some time.
Friday’s exhibition game will begin at 6 PM ET at Rupp Arena with LIVE coverage on the SEC Network.
