The Bayern Munich academy has churned out some excellent talents in recent times. One of them, now a full senior in the first team is taking the next step in his journey. The Bayern number six Aleksander Pavlović has made a name for himself at the club and beyond the country as a solid central midfielder. He has gone from watching the greats to marking his presence in the highest level of the game. Now, the 21-year-old aims to hit the next level with a focus on his self-refinement.
In a recent interview
with the club’s magazine Säbener 51, Pavlović was asked whether he watched tapes of players in his position. “I used to do that occasionally. Today, I concentrate more on my own game and what I can improve. I think I’m on the right track. I notice how I’m improving from game to game and that’s exactly what I want to continue doing. There’s always room for improvement,” answered Pavlović (as captured by @iMiaSanMia).
The number six playbook
Pavlo’s journey as a number six is progressing along well and he has a legend’s playbook to look for solutions should he need some specific answer. The likes of Sergio Busquets, Rodri, Xabi Alonso and Thiago are some excellent players who have owned the CDM position. Be it ball distribution, pressure absorption, clinical passing, these legends have left a solution for nearly every question. While it is fantastic that young Pavlo is focussed on himself rather than tapes, these and more players are always available should he need help.
