4-Star wing Anthony Felesi announced his top five schools Tuesday and BYU made the cut along with UCLA, USC, Pitt, and San Diego State.
Felesi is in his second year at Utah Prep and is rated the #49 prospect in the 2026 class
by 247 Sports. Prior to Utah Prep he attended Orem High School. Felesi took an unofficial visit to BYU in March with Utah Prep teammate AJ Dybantsa during the West Virginia hoops game, and I talked to him after that about his experience. Anthony told me that his Utah Prep teammates AJ Dybantsa and Xavion Staton were in his ear non-stop about coming to BYU. Anthony recently told me that he planning to make BYU his last official visit in November and that AJ has told him that he will be his host.
Anthony is a 6-foot-5 physical wing/guard who can really defend and knockdown shots. Houston was recruiting him for awhile and he fits the mold for what Houston gets. He is really physical on the perimeter and disrupts opposing wings.
BYU has three recruits committed in the 2026 class — Dean Rueckert (will enroll in Spring), Will Openshaw (mission first), and JUCO guard KJ Perry (will join team mid year for Winter semester and redshirt). BYU is also still in pursuit of Austin Goosby after his official visit to BYU in late September. I suspect BYU would not get both of Goosby and Felesi.
