The promoter wars involved in the impending Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua fight have yet to subside, even with the fight being formally announced for Dec. 11.
While Dana White was notably absent from the kick off press conference, he says it’s only because he had other prior engagements but that he’s certainly still going to be both producing and promoting the show, despite Eddie Hearn’s repeated claims that it’s contractually impossible for him to take part in that capacity without his approval.
So,
during a press conference after his Contender series, White just recently blew off some steam when a reporter questioned his involvement in the fight.
“What’s the confusion? I thought there was a meeting” White said when asked about producing Fury vs AJ…“There’s absolutely zero confusion. Everything that I’ve said since however long ago I said it, is true. And now [Hearn’s] open to meeting with me? About what? What should we possible meet about?
“That’s a fact [that I will be handling production for the show]. Sounds like he has an incredible lawsuit…Who gives a sh-t. I mean, have I been wrong in anything that I’ve said?! Nothing! I am producing the fight. I am promoting the fight. I will be there at the fight. And then I’m flying right back to Vegas for the UFC fight, and all of my producers and guys that run production will be flying with me.
“We already had the meeting, the meeting was f-ckin’ yesterday. Yes…Everything that I’ve said about my involvement in the fight has been absolutely true. Anybody want to debate that?”
