It was a good ol’ fashioned ass-kicking.
Nebraska football left no doubt against Akron, steamrolling to a 68-0 victory in a game that felt even more lopsided than the score. Dylan Raiola shined with 364 passing yards and four touchdowns, while Emmett Johnson added 140 rushing yards on just 14 carries. The Huskers racked up 728 yards of total offense
and showed no signs of slowing down, from starters to third-stringers.This was an old-school Nebraska beatdown — relentless, explosive, and fun. The offense
looked sharp, the defense suffocated Akron, and even special teams delivered big punt returns. Fans had little to complain about beyond beer lines and Archie Wilson not getting a punt.
Most importantly, the Huskers didn’t play down to their opponent. They dominated every snap, covered the spread with ease, and reminded everyone what Nebraska football can look like when it’s firing on all cylinders. Up next: Houston Christian, another chance to keep building momentum before Big Ten play.
