As Bayern Munich fought hard to come out of the Signal Iduna Park against a game Borussia Dortmund side with a late goal by captain Joshua Kimmich, you might have notice that although having the visiting side role, the Bayern fans section was quieter than usual. For this reason, Bayern Munich star Jamal Musiala was seen approaching the Bayern fans section to ask them why they were not actively supporting the club (FCBinside via @iMiaSanMia).
Apparently the reason was that the Ultras had had a clash
with the Dortmund police before the game with pepper spray and batons involved, causing some 500 Bayern fans to watch the game in the stadium’s concourse through the TVs, rather than supporting from their seats (Bild via @iMiaSanMia). On their behalf, Dortmund police announced that 29 Bayern supporters had tried to enter the game with fake tickets.
It appears that at least some fans returned to their seats during the final moments of the match, as Bayern players were seen celebrating with traveling group of fans, this time receiving the deserved support after a decisive victory.
There was a confrontation between police and some Bayern fans around 5 pm. Police used batons and pepper spray against some of the fans. As a result, 500 fans decided to watch the game in the stadium concourse and stop their support. Dortmund police said a group of 29 Bayern fans attempted to gain entry to the away section using counterfeit or unauthorized tickets.
