There may be competition for positions among the players, but they need to be tight if they are going to be successful this season. Demond Williams Jr. and Dezmen Roebuck have a lot of history playing together from when they were kids.

UW’s 5th fall practice was yesterday. Dawgman has a recap here. Some of the highlights are a continued dominance of Dezmen Roebuck, especially with Dylan Robinson out. Kolt Dietrich was getting first-team reps at center with Landen Hatchett still limited and Jake Flores out. Roman Tomashoff has his practice report here. One player that Coach Fisch singled out was Ramzak Fruean. Coach Fisch said that since spring practices “He’s grown everywhere. He’s grown 20 pounds. He’s grown in maturity. He’s grown in understanding how to practice. He’s grown in understanding the value of being a great teammate.”
WR Transfer Christian Moss has been another player that has impressed so far. “I think Christian is a dude,” UW coach Jedd Fisch said after practice. “He’s a dude. He’s made a lot of big-time plays throughout.” He’s been lining up with the first team at WR for every practice so far. Luke Mounger points out that one of Moss’ best games at Kennesaw State was when they played the Indiana Hoosiers, so he has proven production against a Big Ten team.
