The Cleveland Cavaliers enforced their will against the older Los Angeles Clippers team that was on the second leg of a back-to-back. Cleveland won every quarter on Sunday as they cruised to a 120-105 win powered by 37 points from Donovan Mitchell.
Mitchell was incredible. He got wherever he wanted on the court as he efficiently scored at all three levels. The Clippers couldn’t find a way to stay in front of him on the perimeter, and their bigs couldn’t provide enough resistance on the backend to keep
him from getting to the rim. It was about as easy a 37-point performance you’ll find.
Los Angeles doesn’t have a good defense, but that doesn’t make what Mitchell did much less impressive. It wasn’t just the efficient 14-22 shooting that was impressive. He made an all-around impact as he provided eight rebounds, six assists, and a steal in the victory.

Evan Mobley had a rough start and still struggled to find his rhythm from the free-throw line (0-4). He was able to find something in the second half. Twelve of his 18 points came in the final two quarters. Mobley also added in 10 rebounds, two assists, two steals, and two blocks.
De’Andre Hunter had a solid scoring night. He provided 17 points on 5-11 shooting, which included going 4-7 from three.
Darius Garland couldn’t find his shot. He scored just eight points on 3-10 shooting, but his playmaking remains exactly what this team needs, even if he’s still shaking off the rust. Garland finished with eight assists and four turnovers.
Kawhi Leonard had a solid return to the lineup for the Clippers. He had 20 points on 6-13 shooting. Ivica Zubac led Los Angeles with a team-high 33 points, 18 rebounds, and four assists.
The Cavs head north of the border to take on the Toronto Raptors on Monday evening. Toronto has won the first two meetings this season.
