Wooo!! Last week’s game was so fun to watch!
It has been a long time since we have seen a Nebraska team play with such dominance and it was awesome!
Get ready for a repeat this week folks. It’s going to be a good one.
#1 QB CONFIDENCE
I know that some would argue that Dylan Raiola has never lacked confidence. However, there is no arguing that this year he is even more confident in himself as a leader on this team. This shows through his play. Raiola is currently completing 78% of his 73 passes, good for 5th in the country.
He has also completed passes to 15 different receivers.
Raiola’s confidence will continue to shine as the Huskers take on Huskies. I don’t know how it couldn’t when he’s making passes like this:
#2 DEFENSIVE DOMINANCE
Nebraska’s defense has only allowed an average of 65.5 passing yards per game so far this season. They also had their first shut out since 2009.
Expect more of the same this week. The Huskers will shut down Houston Christian’s big rusher Xai’Shaun Edwards who has averaged 100 yards per game so far this season.
#3 PUNT RETURNS
Guess what this Husker team is doing? They’re returning punts. I know it sounds crazy, but it happened. I saw it. Nebraska racked up 92 yards in punt returns last week. That’s more than they were able to get for the whole season last year. (And the three seasons before that)
I’m looking for a punt return touchdown this game.
#4 TURNOVERS
Nebraska currently has three turnovers gained on the year. That number is going to double on Saturday. They are playing a Houston Christian team that averages three turnovers per game and the Huskers are ready to capitalize.
#5 MEMORIAL STADIUM
Although it’s going to be hot, Memorial Stadium is sure to be hopping. It’s going to be loud and this being the Huskies first game against Nebraska, they don’t know what they’re getting themselves into. Husker fans and Memorial Stadium will be the 12th man for this game.
GOOOOO BIIIIIIG REEEEDDD!
