Coming off back-to-back wins for the first time this season, the Baltimore Ravens will look to extend their streak against the Minnesota Vikings on the road this Sunday. The crew of Baltimore Beatdown
gives their bold predictions for the Week 10 matchup.
The Ravens run for over 200 yards against the Vikings.
It used to be a foregone conclusion that Baltimore would run for at least 150 yards every game. But in 2025, the once-dominant ground game of the Ravens has failed to get into gear. Baltimore hasn’t run for over 200 yards since Week 1 against the Buffalo Bills, and while defensive coordinator Brian Flores and Minnesota should have a few tricks up their sleeve, I expect Derrick Henry to spring a few big ones against an overaggressive Vikings defense. – Stephen Bopst
Lamar Jackson plays Brian Flores again, but instead of a 2021 reoccurrence, it looks more like the 2019 matchup. Jackson airs the ball out against the blitz, throwing for over 300 yards for the first time this season in a big day for both Zay Flowers and Rashod Bateman. All three running backs also see action to help stymie the blitz. Derrick Henry runs for 75 yards and a touchdown, Justice Hill catches multiple passes, and Keaton Mitchell pops a screen for a long touchdown.
The defense also continues to stack days as the Ravens terrorize what is essentially a rookie quarterback in J.J. McCarthy. Mike Green continues his hot streak with another sack. Dre’Mont Jones also gets a sack and quickly establishes himself as the best pass rusher in Baltimore, with multiple pressures from both the inside and off the edge. Justin Jefferson gets his, but Nate Wiggins comes up with yet another pick, as well as Teddye Buchanan getting his first to make up for not getting a credited stat for the two fumbles he helped with against the Miami Dolphins. This game quickly devolves into a defensive slugfest. While not on the same level as the 2021 game against the Miami Dolphins, Brian Flores overwhelms the Ravens’ offensive line with blitzes, leading to a frustrating day for Lamar Jackson and the offense. Baltimore’s rushing attack finds a groove but continues to struggle in short-yardage situations. Jackson is sacked multiple times as the passing attack fails to find a rhythm for much of the day.
On the other side, Baltimore’s improving defense makes life difficult for the inexperienced second-year quarterback J.J. McCarthy, with Kyle Hamilton in particular continuing to wreak havoc near the line of scrimmage. Dre’Mont Jones makes his arrival felt with a sack, but the Ravens still struggle to generate consistent pressure without bringing extra players on blitzes. Baltimore’s win streak comes to a halt, falling 16-14, leading to renewed outcry from the fan base as the playoffs are put in doubt – Dustin Cox
Vikings defensive coordinator Brian Flores is going to go deep into his bag of tricks and combine zero blitzes with drop-eight looks to throw Lamar Jackson off his game. The former won’t work, but the latter will, and the Ravens will have a few drives stall out early when Jackson holds onto the ball too long. Todd Monken will counter with a combination of designed QB runs and screens that burn the defense once or twice and tone down Flores’ aggressiveness. That will allow the Ravens to lean on their running game in the second half with Derrick Henry and Keaton Mitchell exhausting the Vikings defense until they breakaway for a late touchdown.
On defense, the Ravens will give up a lot of underneath yardage to J.J. McCarthy, allowing the Vikings to put together a few long drives in the first half. A Ravens lead in the second half will force McCarthy to push the ball downfield, which will give Baltimore opportunities for a few splash plays. Nate Wiggins will shadow Justin Jefferson with the All-Pro generally getting the better of the youngster, but Wiggins will make a key play or two down the stretch to stop a late Vikings drive and wrap up a 27-17 win for the Ravens. – Nikhil Mehta
