Spain boss Luis de la Fuente has been full of praise for Barcelona’s Fermin Lopez ahead of the team’s next game against Croatia.
Fermin missed the World Cup due to injury but has been in great form for Barcelona at the start of the season and is back in the squad.
De la Fuente is expected to start Lopez on Tuesday night, with the Spain boss happy to talk about his talents ahead of the game.
“He’s in fantastic form, just like Olmo. He gives us energy, vitality, intensity, a lot of talent, class, and
finishing ability. He’s a world-class player and fits perfectly with our style of play,” he told a pre-match press conference.
The Spain boss also spoke about potentially making changes to his team to shake things up a little after victory over England.
“There are players we want to give a break. We need to freshen up the team a bit,” he added.
“Not only for that reason, but also because those waiting in the wings deserve it. It doesn’t worry me at all. Those who play will be the best prepared.”
