Major League Baseball on Tuesday announced its 2026 schedule, with opening day set for Thursday, March 26. The Dodgers will open their schedule next year against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Dodger Stadium, the start of a three-game series.
This will mark the first time since 2023 that the Dodgers’ first game of the season will be at home in Los Angeles, after opening the last two years overseas, starting 2024 in Seoul, South Korea and beginning 2025 in Tokyo, Japan. 2026 will mark the eighth time in 10
years that the Dodgers’ first domestic game of the season will be played at Dodger Stadium.
March 26 will be the earliest Dodgers regular season game ever played in the United States. The only earlier games on the calendar came in 2014 in Sydney, Australia (March 22-23), 2024 in Seoul (March 20-21), and 2025 in Tokyo (March 18-19).
That series against Arizona is the start of a six-game homestand that will also see the Cleveland Guardians come to Los Angeles. The D-backs series is only three games, which makes for another Sunday off day on March 29.
The regular season schedule runs through Sunday, September 27. The Dodgers will end their regular season with a three-game series against the Giants in San Francisco. The Dodgers’ final nine games next season will feature playing against the National League West: three games each against the Giants and Padres at home before heading to San Francisco. Contrast that with this year when the Dodgers opened the domestic portion of their schedule and will end the schedule against American League teams.
On April 15, the Dodgers will again celebrate Jackie Robinson Day at home, hosting the Mets at Dodger Stadium, a Wednesday finale of a three-game series.
The Dodgers will play the Padres July 2-5 and September 22-24 in Los Angeles, as well as May 18-20 and June 26-28 in San Diego.
The Dodgers will take on the Yankees from July 17-19 at Yankee Stadium in New York, the first series after the All-Star break. Their weekend series in both 2024 and 2025 included all three games on national television, with Apple TV+ covering the Friday game, Fox on Saturday, and ESPN on Sunday. Broadcast schedules for 2026 will be announced during the offseason.
Among the other interleague matchups, the Dodgers will make their first-ever trip to West Sacramento to play the A’s from June 29-July 1.
The 2026 MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 14 at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia. The Dodgers have their longest homestand of the season before the break, with 10 games against the Padres (four games), Rockies, and Diamondbacks from July 2-12.
