The Las Vegas Raiders relationship with No. 1 wide receiver Jakobi Meyers has ended as they have reportedly traded him to the Jacksonville Jaguars Tuesday, hours ahead of the NFL trade deadline.
The Raiders will reportedly get fourth and sixth-round picks back in 2026 for their top receiver.
Meyers asked to be traded in August after the two sides couldn’t come to an agreement on a contract extension. The new Raiders’ brass have extended the contracts of players such as Maxx Crosby, A.J. Cole and Kolton Miller this offseason. But they couldn’t come to an agreement with Meyers.
Meyers had been a great find for Las Vegas since signing in 2023 as a free agent from New England. The Raiders signed the former undrafted free agent to a three-year, $33 million deal.
Myers had been a reliable player for Las Vegas. He took the big step up from being a No. 2 wide receiver when Las Vegas traded Davante Adams in October, 2025.
Meyers had 33 catches for 352 yards this season and had four catches Sunday in a loss to the team he was traded to on Sunday.
Meyers had a career year in 2024 as he had 87 catches for 1,027 yards. He also didn’t have any drops last season.
