The sixth and final game of the road trip and the Royals are still looking to get a win. Kansas City has become a mercurial team swinging from long losing streaks to looking great and back again. We will see if they can salvage one in St. Louis this afternoon before heading back to the friendly Kauffman confines.
Stephen Kolek will be getting his third big league start of the season as Cole Ragans is still on the injured list. Last time out, Kolek was great through four innings and then got roughed
up in the fifth. With the depth of the starting rotation depleted, Kansas City really needs Kolek to be a steadying force in the rotation.
St. Louis will be sending Andre Pallante to the mound. He has been a bit inconsistent in the early going and walking over four per nine. He seems like a good matchup for the Royals, but we will have to see if they will take advantage. It is a fairly standard lineup for the Royals except that Jac Caglianone is taking a day after that slide into the wall on Saturday afternoon. He will hopefully be back to regular playing duties quickly.
