What the Dolphins are getting:
A monolithic offensive lineman with the type of size that doesn’t grow on trees. Proctor was ready-made for the SEC as he won the starting left tackle job as a true freshman under Nick Saban. Proctor is as powerful as he looks with massive limbs that resemble tree trunks in the right light. He’s a surprising
mover for his size and showed he could hang on the edge if needed, but many teams will view him as a top guard prospect if he chooses to make the transition to the interior. But either on the outside or interior, his strength will show up when he becomes a bulldozer for your running game.
Strengths
- Overwhelming size brings overwhelming strength
- Battle-tested in the SEC from start to finish
- Envelops second-level defenders
- Doesn’t need a lot of momentum to become a runaway train
Weakness
- Massive size does come with some shortcomings moving laterally
- Can be beat easily with inside counters if he oversets
- Recovery ability is middle of the road
- Does not inflict his will enough in pass protection
