The good
AFC Wild Card Playoff at TIAA Bank Field on January 14, 2023
Final score: Chargers 30 – Jaguars 31
Attendance: 70,250
Of course, it’s the Wild Card game. I’ll never forget how loud the stadium was and the rollercoaster of emotions watching the biggest comeback in Jaguars history. The Jags started chipping away at a 27-point deficit when Evan Engram caught a touchdown pass from Trevor Lawrence, followed by Marvin Jones during the third. After the Chargers’ kicker Cameron Dicker made a field goal, it was all Jaguars football from there. Zay Jones and Christian Kirk scored touchdowns, and Lawrence ran in the two-point conversion. Riley Patterson’s 36-yard field goal ended the game. Jacksonville had 24 first downs and 27:21 time of possession, compared to Los Angeles’s 18 first downs and 32:39. Trevor Lawrence completed 28 out of 47 attempted passes for 288 yards and was sacked twice for a loss of 15 yards. Travis Etienne led the team with 109 rushing yards, and Evan Engram led with 93 receiving yards. Jamal Agnew averaged 33.50 yards in kickoff returns, and Logan Cooke punted three times. Foye Oluokun led the team with 13 combined tackles. Joshua Hines-Allen, Roy Robertson-Harris, Travon Walker, and Folorunso Fatukasi collectively sacked Justin Herbert three times.
