The Yankees got a much-needed offday yesterday, coming off a stretch of 13 games in 13 days. Despite the negative sentiment around the team for much of that span, I’d argue that this stretch went well; the Yankees played for 13 exhausting days in row, largely against strong opponents, with ten of those games on the road, all with their injured list littered with stars. They came out of it 7-6, and with some positive injury news coming out during that time to boot. If you can see past the (many) frustrating
close losses the Yankees have suffered in the last week or two, maybe, just maybe, there is something bright on the horizon.
