After an exciting 2-0 start to the 2026 season, the Cincinnati Bengals have since dropped back-to-back games against the Pittsburgh Steelers and Jacksonville Jaguars.
The excitement has quickly faded, especially after the Bengals lost both Ja’Marr Chase and Tee Higgins against the Jags this past weekend.
The Bengals have an opportunity to get back on track visiting a winless Miami Dolphins team this upcoming weekend before heading into a much-needed bye week to get healthy.
After the loss, Dexter Lawrence
shared his thoughts on the current status of the Bengals’ record and made it clear that there is no panic in the locker room.
“Just the fight, the fight, and the attention to the little details. I don’t think we made the same mistakes. I think they just they did well, just hitting spots and getting the ball out quick. Yeah, I just I’m encouraged because I know the guys in this locker room are champions, and it’s going to show,” Lawrence stated.
The Bengals defense did enough to win the game against a stellar Jacksonville offense, but the Bengals offense struggled mightily to score points.
The silver lining? The Bengals offense usually finds their groove through weeks 4-6, and the defense is playing good enough football right now.
The losses are frustrating, but beating Miami and going into the bye week with a win will be a much-needed step forward.
