Good news for UFC fans calling for Laura Sanko to replace Joe Rogan — you finally got your wish.
But don’t pop the bubbly just yet, it’s only for one night. Sanko will join play-by-play man Jon Anik and
color commentator Daniel Cormier at the cageside table for the upcoming UFC 321 pay-per-view (PPV) event, scheduled for Sat., Oct. 25, 2025 at Etihad Arena on “Fight Island” in Abu Dhabi.
UFC 321 is headlined by the Tom Aspinall (c) vs. Ciryl Gane heavyweight title fight.
“I had the one pay-per-view two years ago and I was really happy with how that went,” Sanko told Mike Bohn. “The reception was good. But I know that every time I do a pay-per-view, there’s a whole audience that isn’t used to hearing me, that only watches pay-per-views. And so there’s a lot of pressure to do it right and to do my best.”
The Texas-based Rogan does not attend international PPV events (but might travel to the moon).
“And I will always do my best and always do my homework, but [it’s] really the only time I get nervous anymore, because I realize how important it is to represent, to do a good job in those big spots,” Sanko added. “It will be great. It’s a group I’m very familiar with and I know the flow will be good. I just gotta nail it as best I can.”
Just call her the Ronda Rousey of commentating.
Sanko is no stranger to commentary duties, having previously called “Contender Series” cards and select “Fight Night” events. Sadly, the dim-witted bottom feeders who represent the genetic makeup of the combat sports fanbase will continue to spread gross rumors and engage in sexist social media treatment.
