I know most people here are either going to talk about Spurs-City or the transfer window today, but could I interest you in Jan Vertgonhen?
Bert made an appearance at half time during Tottenham’s match
against Man City on Sunday. I had a hard time finding any official photographs of him at first, so I had to rely on some reporting from Alasdair Gold of Football London:
OK, I’ll admit when I first saw this tweet I saw the word “handsome” in it. It isn’t. But I challenge you to ask Alasdair if Jan Vertonghen is handsome.
We finally got some Vertonghen official news after the game from Spurs (probably after the vibes were good again). Here are a couple snaps of him being led to the pitch at halftime.
Vertonghen himself posted after the match that Sunday’s game was the third time he witnessed a Puskas goal. We all know the other two:
- Sonny’s end-to-end goal against Burnley (assisted by the legendary defender himself)
- Coco’s rabona versus Arsenal
Will Dominic Solanke’s scorpion kick versus City be the third?
Either way it’s great to see Vertonghen back. Goodness, do I miss him dearly.
