Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane played the starring role for England in its 1-0 victory over New Zealand in a World Cup tune-up.
Kane scored the game’s lone goal, while completing 88% of his passes and only losing possession twice on his 21 touches before leaving the match at halftime.
As expected, Kane is showing up big for the Three Lions after having a spectacular season for Bayern Munich. For the 2025/26 season, Kane had 61 goals and seven assists in 51 games across all competitions, while tallying
4,050 minutes of play.
England figures to be one of the favorites in the World Cup tournament, but for Thomas Tuchel’s squad to have a shot to win the tourney, Kane will have to be at his best.
For anyone not geo-blocked, here is Kane’s goal:
England will play its next friendly on Wednesday vs. Costa Rica in Orlando, Florida where it will look to stay healthy and close out its pre-tournament schedule with a win.
