What is the story about?
Penn State hockey bolstered its goaltending room with a commitment from Crew Petty on Wednesday:
Petty played 33 games for the Gilmour Academy, where he posted a .919 save percentage and 2.19 GAA. He is set to join Penn State in the 2026-27 season.
Of all the questions Penn State hockey
has about roster construction heading into next season, the goaltending room appears to be complete. Josh Fleming will be the unquestioned starter with Kevin Reidler’s departure to the NHL. Ryder Fetterolf will likely be the backup after his outstanding season in the OHL, leaving Petty to fill out the room as the third goalie.
